On a November morning, during Storm Claudia, a tornado came ashore at Albufeira in Portugal's Algarve and tore through a campsite and a holiday resort for about 4 km. The Portuguese weather service rated it IF2, with winds of about 220 km/h.
Caravans and roofs were thrown into the air.
The tornado lived for only a few minutes, so there was no time to warn people.
