Late on a winter evening a tornado formed over the western edge of Málaga and cut a path about 300 metres wide through several neighbourhoods towards the city centre. It damaged hundreds of cars, homes and warehouses and blew the metal roof off the bus station.

About 25 people were slightly hurt, but nobody was killed, even though the tornado crossed busy city streets.
