In the evening, at about a quarter past seven, a tornado was seen south of the town of Campo Erê. The weather radar at Chapecó had already spotted the storm spinning some fourteen minutes earlier. The wind tore roofs off houses and sheds and pulled trees out of the ground along a narrow path. No injuries were reported.
