In the evening a sudden whirlwind struck the Valasranta dance pavilion at Yläne in south-west Finland. Part of the roof of the pavilion, built in 1968, was ripped off and rolled up, and rain flooded the hall. The European storm database records it as a weak tornado with a track about 3 kilometres long. Nobody was hurt, because the dancers had left around twenty minutes earlier.
